Made it to week 15! But my medical issues continue! The headaches persist but I have more energy so I'm not sure which is the worse of the two evils. I had to take an Excedrine last Wednesday because I couldn't function and was on the edge of a migraine. Doc said I could have one if it got that bad. I felt 100% better within the hour and had no headache on Thursday. My friend said her headaches ended after the 16th week, so I can hope!
At 15w1d, I felt crampy and had some brown discharge. I called the Doc just to be safe and, at this far along, they wanted me to come in right away. That kinda freaked me out but the exam went well. She still sent me for an ultrasound to check my insides and they were able to fit me in too. The ultrasound people I go to aren't just radiologists, they are fetal specialists so they are super knowledgable and informative. The doc is also really nice and checked the heartbeat, placenta, bone growth, and head size. Oh, and I have a "gorgeous cervix." LOL. I was prescribed no heavy lifting, no exercise, and unfortunately no hanky panky either. Doc said I probably lifted something a little too heavy and a blood vessel burst. Cramps were gas... How embarrassing!! These twice a day iron pills are a killer! Anyways, I'm glad everything is going to be ok. Oh and my nuchal scan ended up being fine and the chance for down syndrome or trisomy 18 is 1 in 10,000 which is basically the best odds you can get.
